Tooling Designer – Mechanical Manufacturing Full Time

POSITION: Tooling Designer DIVISION: Process Engineering – Boksburg REPORTING TO: Head Of Site PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To take a leadership role in the following process engineering activities (i.e. Manufacturing process documentation, tooling design, drawing management, process developments) within Boksburg manufacturing site. To liaise with both the Senior management Team and internal Customers and to support manufacturing at the Boksburg Manufacturing site
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
 Generate required product specific tooling drawings
 Create specific forging, heat treatment, banding tooling in order to support the manufacturing process
 Drive best practice, innovations and standardisation of tooling design.
 Implementation of a tooling management systems from concept design to tooling retirement.
 Reduction in Overall tooling consumables cost.
 Completion of all development projects (I.e. in term of Process development )
Minimum Requirements:
 Bsc Mechanical Eng/Btech Mechanical Eng .
 5 years of relavant eprience
 Manufacturing tool design exprience .
 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
 Knowldge of different materials in Constriction
 Knowldge of streghth of material
 Design capabilities using AutoCad,Solid Edge
 Good communication skills both verbal and in writiing
 Knowledge of MS Office ( I.e Ms Word , Excel, Power Point , Projects
